Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be without key defender William Saliba when the Gunners face Liverpool in a Premier League match at Anfield this weekend.
Saliba has been in superb form for Arsenal this season and has formed a solid partnership with Brazilian star Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of the Gunners’ defence.
The Frenchman, though, has missed Arsenal’s last two matches after sustaining a back injury in the UEFA Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon in March.
However, Saliba is yet to train with Arsenal’s first team since the incident occurred.
And according to The Sun, the centre-back is still struggling with the injury and his recovery is taking far longer than expected.
Rob Holding has filled in during the last two games but Arteta was critical of his side’s defence after their win against Crystal Palace before the international break.
